Privacy Policy
EveStay is an AI companion product. Companions are artificial intelligence — not real people. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It is a product disclosure for the prototype / early production service and is not a substitute for formal legal review.
1. Who we are
EveStay operates the website and app at evestay.com. Contact us at support@evestay.com for privacy, account deletion, or data requests.
2. What we collect
- Account data — email address after sign-in; anonymous session identifiers before sign-in.
- Conversation data — messages, voice/selfie media references, and relationship context you create.
- Memory entries — facts you or the product save as editable memories.
- Usage & billing — plan, subscription status, media quotas, and payment events via Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
- Acquisition data — first-touch marketing parameters (for example UTM, click ids) to understand campaigns.
- Analytics data — page views, funnel events, device/browser basics, and interaction recordings used to understand product usability. Conversation text, email addresses, and direct account/session identifiers are excluded from third-party analytics events.
- Technical logs — error logs and security events needed to run the service.
3. How we use data
- Provide chat, memory, media, and subscription features.
- Authenticate you and keep one active relationship experience working across sessions.
- Process payments and prevent fraud/abuse.
- Improve reliability, safety, and product quality (aggregated or operational metrics).
- Comply with law and enforce age / AI-disclosure rules.
4. AI processing
Messages may be sent to third-party model providers under our control and contracts to generate replies. Companions are disclosed as AI. We do not claim a real human is on the other end.
Training default: private conversations are not used to train foundation models by default. If that ever changes, we will require a clear, separate opt-in.
5. Memory controls
Memories associated with your relationship are intended to be visible, editable, and deletable in product controls. After cancellation, access becomes read-only per plan rules; retention windows may apply before deletion.
6. Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to run EveStay, such as:
- Hosting / database / auth (for example Supabase, Vercel)
- Payments (Stripe)
- Model / media providers behind server-side adapters
- Product analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity)
- Optional messaging (for example Telegram) only if you connect it
We do not sell your personal conversations as a data product.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use essential local storage for session, first-touch attribution, experiments, and preference flags (for example offer timers and install prompts). Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar browser storage to measure page visits, conversion events, and product usability. Clarity masks sensitive content by default, and EveStay does not intentionally send conversation text or email addresses through its analytics event integration.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and server-side secrets for provider keys. No method is perfect; report suspected issues promptly.
9. Children
EveStay is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly serve minors.
10. Your choices
- Edit or delete memories in-product where available.
- Disconnect optional channels (for example Telegram).
- Cancel subscription via Stripe Customer Portal or support.
- Request account/data deletion via support@evestay.com.
11. International users
Early service is oriented to US English users. Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our providers operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be highlighted in-product when practical.
